Do you wish it were still swim season? A Pool Heater can extend your swim season!

Date

Many pools already have heaters, but do you know how to care for them or when they need to be replaced?

The best way to maintain your heater is to keep your pool chemicals balanced and within range. Copper coils heat the water as it passes through the heater, and unbalanced water will degrade the copper over time.
Another way to maintain your heater is to control pests! The heat may attract rodents and other pests, who like to chew on the wires. Traps and repellents can help, but it could also help to make sure the grass around your heater is trimmed.

That’s a heater that needs to be replaced! A leak caused all this rust and damage.

If you need help remembering when your heater was installed, it could be time to replace it! A few signs can tell you it’s time to replace your heater. Despite your pool being clean, you might see circular, red/brown stains. These could be copper deposits from an old heater. If the heater has leaks or rust, it may be time to replace it. If you try to start it and it doesn’t start, stay on, or it trips the breaker, there may be an electrical issue with your heater.
